Python x Blender – an optimized automation solution in multimedia design – is a notable outcome developed by a team of lecturers and students from the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT), Van Hien University. In an era of rapidly advancing technology, applying programming to design workflows has become not only a trend but a vital necessity for enterprises in media and creative industries.

Recognizing the practical demands of the industry, the faculty and students of FIT have implemented a highly applicable research project titled: "Applying the Python programming language to enhance efficiency in the field of Multimedia." This is a prominent effort in bringing programming technology into real-world production and creating effective connections between university training and digital transformation needs in the business sector.

Under the guidance of Mr. Huynh Quoc Tuan, MSc – a dedicated and experienced lecturer – along with the active participation of three outstanding students: Nguyen Thi Khoa Khoi, Nguyen Tran Van Anh, and Nguyen Truong Quoc Quang, the research team harnessed Python libraries and tools, combining Python Console and the Blender API to develop a customized add-on. This add-on automates numerous repetitive tasks in 3D design – a stage that typically consumes considerable time and is prone to human error when performed manually.

The product significantly reduces processing time, minimizes manual mistakes, and boosts productivity for design teams working in professional environments. It exemplifies how students can apply their programming knowledge to create tangible value, demonstrating a modern technological mindset and problem-solving capabilities.

The add-on developed by the team underwent a rigorous testing process, evaluated across various criteria including functionality, user interface, operational efficiency, and integration capability. Beyond academic value, the product marks a significant step in strengthening the relationship between university education and business needs. It also contributes to building a flexible and feasible technology transfer model within the higher education environment.

The project’s success serves as clear evidence of the application-oriented training approach that the Faculty of Information Technology at Van Hien University continuously pursues: learning by doing, theory linked with practice, and research that serves both the community and businesses. It also reflects the strong collaboration between lecturers and students, nurtured in an open, innovative, and practice-driven learning environment.

The Faculty of Information Technology extends its congratulations to Mr. Huynh Quoc Tuan and students Nguyen Thi Khoa Khoi, Nguyen Tran Van Anh, and Nguyen Truong Quoc Quang for successfully completing a creative, practical, and inspiring research project. With this solid foundation, the Faculty believes these students will continue to grow, innovate, and make meaningful contributions to the development of the digital media industry in this era of comprehensive digital transformation.
