Students of Van Hien University (VHU) have achieved an outstanding result by winning First Prize in the Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain (AI & Blockchain) category at the 10th IT Talent Search Competition, organized in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA).

The competition is an academic playground for information technology students across the country, bringing together many teams from universities and colleges. This year, the event attracted 36 institutions, with 415 teams and more than 1,000 contestants, creating a dynamic environment filled with competition and innovative technological ideas.

Representing the competition, the Faculty of Information Technology – Van Hien University had 15 student teams participating. Among them, 11 teams successfully advanced to the Semifinal round. Notably, two VHU teams reached the Top 71 teams in the Final round, demonstrating the capability, enthusiasm, and research spirit of VHU students.

At the Final round, students Tang Gia Huy and Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao won First Prize in the AI & Blockchain category with their project titled “Applying Artificial Intelligence to Develop a Smart Fire Warning System for Buildings Based on Surveillance Cameras.” The project was highly appreciated for its practical application and potential use in smart city safety systems.

In addition, another team consisting of Nguyen Thi My Hanh, Tran Van Thanh Ban, and Nguyen Luong Truong Man received an Encouragement Prize in the Computer Networking category with their project “Deploying a Virtualized Server Infrastructure Using ESXi Combined with a Centralized Monitoring System Using Zabbix.” The project demonstrated solid knowledge in IT infrastructure and system management.

The results of the competition reflect the dedication and effort of the students, as well as the guidance and support of lecturers from the Faculty of Information Technology – Van Hien University. This achievement also highlights the university’s training quality and its commitment to practical and industry-oriented education in the field of information technology.
