With the aim of helping students gain early exposure to the real working environment and better understand their field of study, Information Technology freshmen recently took part in a meaningful company visit and hands-on experience at FPT Telecom. The trip offered many fresh perspectives, helping students realize that Information Technology is not only about lines of code, but also a close integration of technology, people, and creativity.

Within the program, students had the opportunity to listen to direct sharing from experienced professionals at FPT Telecom, who spoke about their career journeys and real-life stories behind the job—insights that are not always found in textbooks. Through these exchanges, students gained a clearer understanding of required skills, professional mindset, and development opportunities in the technology and telecommunications sector.

In addition, the students visited a modern and professional working environment with a strong “tech vibe,” and were able to directly observe technical departments and data systems. These are the places where large-scale technology infrastructures are operated—systems that students previously encountered only through slides and theoretical lessons in the classroom.

After the visit, Information Technology students gained a clearer vision of their future career paths. Not only did they better understand what they may do after graduation, but they also found greater motivation for their studies as career opportunities became more tangible and within reach. The trip provided positive inspiration, re-energizing students to return to their studies with a more proactive and determined learning spirit.

The practical experience at FPT Telecom was not merely an off-campus lesson, but an inspiring journey. The professional stories, friendly smiles, and steps taken through various departments will surely become memorable highlights in the first year of university life for these Information Technology freshmen.
