After three months of registration, selection, and idea development, students from the Faculty of Information Technology (IT) at Văn Hiến University (VHU) delivered an outstanding performance at the Mammothon - Hackathon competition, organized by TTT LABS and Gia Định University. The competition attracted numerous teams with innovative ideas, utilizing Celestia’s Blockchain platform to solve real-world challenges. As a result, two VHU student teams impressively won the Talent Award and the Incubation Award, marking a remarkable debut in their first-ever participation.

Beyond simply exploring Blockchain technology, VHU teams boldly integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance the efficiency and intelligence of their solutions. The competition featured a wide range of innovative ideas, from market prediction systems based on social media data to prediction markets designed for friend groups. Teams also developed sustainable decentralized applications (DApps), an NFT video exchange, and a stablecoin-based payment platform. These solutions were not only creative but also demonstrated high potential for real-world application.

In addition to the dedicated efforts of the student teams, the Faculty of IT at VHU was accompanied by MSc. Nguyễn Thị Diệu Anh, Deputy Head of the IT Faculty, who served as a judge in the competition. She not only provided objective evaluations but also offered valuable guidance to help teams refine their ideas. Furthermore, Lecturer Dịu from VHU had the honor of being a judge in the final round, contributing to the selection of the most outstanding ideas.

Although this was their first time participating, VHU students showcased their confidence, creativity, and relentless learning spirit. The journey continues as the teams refine their projects to compete in the ASEAN regional round, where the total prize pool reaches up to $250,000.

The Mammothon - Hackathon competition was not only an opportunity for students to challenge themselves but also a chance to expand their knowledge, apply technology to real-world problems, and take significant steps forward in their careers. It also serves as a testament to the potential and creativity of VHU students in the field of technology.
