After four months of registration, selection, and idea development, students from the Faculty of Information Technology (IT) at Van Hien University (VHU) delivered an impressive performance at Mammothon - Hackathon, organized by TTHN TTT LABS and Gia Dinh University. The competition featured multiple teams presenting innovative ideas utilizing Celestia’s Blockchain platform to solve real-world challenges. As a result, two VHU teams achieved remarkable success, winning the Talent Award and the Incubation Award, marking a significant milestone in their first-ever participation.

Beyond simply exploring Blockchain technology, VHU teams boldly integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance the intelligence and efficiency of their solutions. The competition attracted numerous groundbreaking ideas, including a market prediction system based on social media data, a prediction marketplace for friend groups, sustainable decentralized applications (DApps), an NFT video exchange, and a stablecoin-based payment platform. These solutions demonstrated not only creativity but also substantial real-world application potential.

Alongside the dedication of the student teams, the IT Faculty at VHU received valuable support from Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Anh, MSc., Deputy Head of the IT Faculty, who served as a judge for the competition. She provided insightful assessments and strategic directions to help teams refine their ideas. Additionally, VHU lecturer Ms. Dieu had the honor of being a judge in the final round, contributing to selecting the most outstanding projects.

Despite being first-time participants, VHU students demonstrated their talent, innovation, and determination to learn. Their journey is far from over, as the teams are now refining their projects to compete in the ASEAN regional round, where total prizes amount to $250,000.

Mammothon - Hackathon is more than just a competition—it serves as an opportunity for students to test their abilities, expand their knowledge, apply technology in real-world scenarios, and strive for greater achievements in their careers. This success is a testament to the creativity and potential of VHU students in the tech industry.
