April 29, 2025, marked a proud and shining moment for the Faculty of Information Technology – Van Hien University, as teamwork and the desire to conquer challenges led young talents to secure the Special Prize at the 2025 Technology Innovation Contest. With the theme “Youth and the Aspiration for Technological Innovation,” the competition brought together 46 outstanding teams from universities under Emulation Group 22, engaging in the exploration and application of cutting-edge technologies in fields such as AI, microchips, biomedical science, smart agriculture, and sustainable tech-based education.

From lively brainstorming sessions and the birth of brilliant ideas to sleepless nights coding line by line, the IT faculty teams showcased remarkable unity, perseverance, and a relentless drive to reach new heights of knowledge. Each project was not just a result of individual effort, but a testament to the power of collaboration and collective responsibility between students and faculty mentors.

Among the standout teams were Nguyen Duc Quang, Nguyen Khat Thuan, and Luong Nguyen Ngoc Dinh, who made a lasting impression with their project: AI Application to Assist the Disabled in Using Computers. The harmonious integration of advanced technology with deep humanitarian values completely won over the judges, offering new hope for the underprivileged and rightfully earning the Special Prize.

The joy and pride doubled as Van Hien University’s Faculty of Information Technology was also honored with two Consolation Prizes, affirming the faculty's strong training quality, practical research orientation, and the ever-burning passion for innovation within the university’s academic environment.

Cheers filled the hall, warm congratulatory hugs were exchanged, and the moment of the team being honored perfectly captured the collective pride and happiness. This was not just a victory for a few individuals, but a clear affirmation of the capability, growth, and maturity of all IT students on their journey to explore knowledge and contribute real technological solutions to society.

Notably, the significance of this success goes beyond the awards. All 13 outstanding projects that made it to the final round were selected by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology to participate in its startup incubation program. This is a crucial foundation for nurturing these creative ideas, helping them grow and bring tangible value to the community and the sustainable development of the country.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the students – the young innovators of FIT-VHU – who have written a proud new chapter for the Faculty of Information Technology with their passion, intellect, and desire to contribute. Once again, the FIT – Van Hien University has reaffirmed its position on Vietnam’s tech innovation map, inspiring bold breakthroughs in the near future.
